Post your antec 300 lad's ;)

another question: as my AMD Phenom II X6 Six Core 1090T Black Edition 3.20GHz is overclocked to 4.00GHz will adding another 2 sticks of 2gb affect the overclock? Or will i be better just buying 2x4gb sticks?

Also will the ram still be as cool without the cooler?

Adding more sticks of RAm can put more stress on the memory controller which is on the die of the CPU, its hard to say if it will affect it or not without just trying it.

To be completely safe then using a2X4GB kit will remove any issues IF there are any.

The RAM will still be cool without the cooler, many people do have fast RAM without needing a RAM cooler themselves.

What is the maximum temperature for RAM? I have a temperature probe for my NZXT Sentry LXE External fan controller positioned in between the 2 sticks and it is currently registering as 35.1 degrees C. How would you know if they are getting too hot besides looking at fan controller.

Slight update to mine. Now has a Gigabyte 890GPA-UD3H motherboard and another 5830. Cable management is rubbish now as I cut the holes for the Asus board. New case this summer I think, time to move on.
