Post your Antec 300

I didn't bother taking any pics as it was one of the most rubbish and useless cases I've ever used. It's not different from 5quid random piece of steel and has no features whatsoever. It's bloody small as well.

Do yourself a favor and spend extra 10-20 on something better.

you can't go wrong with the 300 at that price point!

nzxt gamma is better and cheaper.
few quid more gets you TT v9.

If only it had some better default fans and sideway mounted drives then it would be sooooooo much better.
And the place where you mount PSUs is too small, makes hard fit for bigger PSUs.

Do yourself a favor and spend a tenner or twenty quid extra on better case.

Just my 2p

and sorry for OT : ).

Despite good cases being available for a bit more (a never-ending game by the way), the 300 does represent good value for money, though it was a lot better before the recession hit, I'm sure it was around £35 mark or even less.

Because they're cheap, they're also quite simple and easy to mod, coupled with the fact that it's not a big deal if you cut it in half by accident or some other dremel-related mishap.

There have been a fair few threads (not many recently) with 300's, though OP, I recommend doing a search of the 'new builds gallery' thread (I think that's right) and you'll find many, and some inspiration to get your tools and paint out.

Your comments don't really backup why the Antec 300 is supposedly a 'rubbish and useless' case. It's not full size, but the specs clearly state the size so why did you buy it? The Antec 300 has excellent cooling and very few case's in the same price range can manage this (properly).

It's well built and a solid case for the money. It's hardly going to better an Antec 1200 or Cooler Master Scout however but I would have thought that was self explanatory.

Antec 300 is the best case I've ever had, it's light, sturdy and if you stick a couple of aftermarket fans in there, you get a mid tower case that outperforms most proper gaming cases (see also CM stacker and Antec 900) for a fraction of the price...

My 300 is currently in pieces, waiting to have a window cut into it, otherwise I *would* post pics (It's an ace case for modding as well, Dremels go through it like butter)

I have plans for mine. The 300 is not a bad case at all! It's cheap but it does the job, and it's all very well saying there are better built cases out there, but they all look pretty horrid IMO.

I'd only change this for a TJ07.

Holy God dude, get that i7 rig out of that god awful case and stick it in something more worthy of it. A modded shoe box would look better.

Like wise above for Balbowa.

Dunno why people keep raving about the 300, its an awful, cramped, poorly built, over priced piece of tinfoil with zero cable management options and after using one on about ten different builds I honestly wouldn't let anyone give me one for free.

I am planning on getting a coolermaster dominator II when I can be arsed. And to be honest it won't be any time soon... had my antec 300 for over 2 years now and had 2 other rigs in it aswell as the i7. Sure have gotten my monies worth!!
