was just looking at some of my BW images I have taken since going Digital and I thought it would be interesting for every one to post their fav two BW images so far. I think these two are the best I have managed to come up with... comments welcome.

The first one is an old shot, taken in July 2002, and is still one of my personal favourites. It looks nothing in colour but in B&W I think it has a bit of a Calvin Klein look to it.

Another 2002 shot, this time from a holida.. I mean work trip to California.

I know what you mean about the first shot it has somthing about it..although it looks more like he is going to sort somone out for disrespecting the "FAMILY" :eek:

nice work ;)

Here's my two faves;

Sydney Harbour Bridge, NYE 2005

This was taken with a standard pentax point and shoot using Ilford 400 B&W film. While the tonal range isn't as dynamic as those shots posted above I think it's a dramatic shot!

Eden Wheel

This was taken at the Eden project last summer using my Konica T3. I forget the camera settings but it was taken with Illford 3200 film hence the noise even after being photoshopped.

I mainly shoot in colour so have very little experience in B&W, but the dynamic range on some of those is incredible. Invasions first shot, or Shimmyhill's for example really pop out at me. I know that more contrast is good in my limited B&W PP experience but what PP did you undertake to get such fantastic photos?

Overlays perhaps?

I cant find the second as I am not at home so cant see my photo directories to find the filename. Never mind :)
