For the drinkers amongst us, I thought it would be interesting to see peoples collection.

This is my small shelf, it changes quite a lot as I don't collect drink - I drink it and add to it now and then. Wish I had the funds for more whisky/cognac but alas I do not.

From left to right:

Kettle One Vodka
Gordons Gin
Aberlour 10 Whisky
Remy Martin VSOP Whisky
Plymouth Sloe Gin
Liberty Ship White Rum (dirt cheap)
Blanco Vermouth (again, dirt cheap)
Haviestoun Ola Dubh (Ale matured in a Whisky cask, it was my SS gift)
Zubrowka Vodka
Hiding behind that is a 13% beer I brought back from a brewpub in Prague at Christmas. I had another bottle, it isn't very nice!
Absinthe (70%)
Absinthe (60%, with Peppercorns in it)
Chocolate Port (woke up one morning, and it was in bed with me. Its disgusting).
Finlandia Vodka (yes, it was a litre for £7 ;)).

Minatures are: Singleton 12 Year Old. Got it free through the post one day.
Some random golf bar shaped minature, not sure where I got it from. Says "Old St Andrews Scotch Whisky" on the label.

Two hipflasks, one Tankard with two cigars in it:
A RRomeo Yjulieta & a Bolivar Habana.

In another room, I have about 50 700ml bottles of homebrew sitting waiting to be drank as well ;).
 
Everything is single bottle and 70cl unless otherwise stated.

Lagavulin 16 year old
Talisker 10 year old, single malt
Bowmore Legend, single malt
laphroaig 10 year, again single malt (I useually hate blended whisky)
Suntory Yamazaki, 10 Year Old
Famous Grouse (for the rare occasions when I don't drink my drams neat, I like Famous Grouse with ginger ale).

Grants (only 35cl)
Remy Martin VSOP (1x 70cl and 1 35cl)
Buffallo Trace Kentucky Bourbon (so much better than Jack Daniels)
Grey Goose
Vodka (don't know the name but it was £10 from Tesco and I use it in Bloody Mary's and cooking)

Beer

Chimay Cinq Cents (75cl)
St Peter's Organic Ale
Fuller's bottle conditioned vintage ale (2009)

Thomas Hardy's Ale (it's only 25cl but it's 11.7% and you're supposed to drink it like a spirit in a snifter glass)
Westmalle Dubbel x3 (it was x24 the Christmas before last when I bought a case of it... you can see I'm a pretty slow drinker)

All of the above I consider a collection of sorts. I only really dip into it on special occasions such as family get-togethers, holidays such as Christmas or for title deciding F1 races (etc.). Below is my regular stuff, I tend to buy in bulk over the 'net when there's offers on as it works out cheaper.

I wish I had a decent collection but the truth is I drink it too quickly.

Currently have in my cupboard:

Blandy’s Single Harvest 2001 Malmsey Madeira
pedro ximenez 20 year old sherry
Courvoisier VSOP finest champagne cognac
a very empty bottle of caol ila 12 yo single malt
half full Grant's whiskey 35cl (the stuff is drinkable)
Tanqueray No. 10 1lt (unopened!)

in the fridge: a bottle of peroni and a bottle of "Primator", quite a nice lager from a czech brewery. (I tend to go to pubs for proper beer)


ps I'd love to see someone use a champagne sabre! Best I've ever seen are youtube videos.

Interestingly enough i'm currently looking to buy myself a Champagne Sabre, my girlfriend isn't overly keen on the idea though!
