Well mine is a q9450 running stock with low fan speeds in a Silverstone FT02 case and it's idling at a toasty:

49 48 46 45
Room temp is currently 26.1c

Maybe we can stick to this format:

CPU =
Case =
Heatsink =
Fans =
Case fans =

Core 1 =
Core 2 =
Core 3 =
Core 4 =
Core 5 =
Core 6 =
Core 7 =
Core 8 =
Room temp =

actually a poll would be good :)

Id have to guess all cores to be honest, but with my 1055t X6 avg. Max idle is around 26 degrees on Core temp and the room is about the same tbh.

Corsair H50-1 in a CM690 with loads of fans lol

How do you guess the temps? cant you use a utility to measure the temps of the cpu cores?

I7 920 @ 4.2 ghz HT on, 1.38v.

Idles are around 49-55, and gaming temp was at 76 degrees

I have to run it at 1.25v, 3.8 Ghz and no HT again or I turn into an oven roasted human.

i would check temps again, even with a custom loop, is it still possible to be the same as ambient? (ie. room temp)

my temps are with IE and about 5 tabs open
core 1 37
core 2 37
core 3 33
core 4 35
ambient temp is about 20.C

1.3125 vcore here for 21x200, at 20x200 it needs 1.300, 21x193, 1.2750, ht is enabled. May back it off to 3.6ghz though and hope that it doesnt bottlekneck my gpu's too much, like yourself, im not fussed about the cpu getting too hot, more concerned about the heat it's putting out, (along with the gpu's) cooking me too much.:D

Ambient temp 25'c, my pc sits in a alcove so the hot air from the Rad gets trapped, even with windows open it does not help. So the hot air from the Rad is used again to cool my loop, i7920 4.2 temps at idle > 34'c to 38'c +/- 1'c, playing BC2 temps 100% load 66'c to 68'c +/- 1'c, GPU 470 850/1700/2000 100% load > 50'c.

Cant find an option for seperate temps, just the overall reading :S

Also, since posting my previous comment, I am processing 100's of RAW images in lightroom atm and it hasnt gone above 37 on max load.

This H50 is pretty good for a cheap plug and play methinks :)

Miine's increased 5 degrees in this heat! idle temps are 45 and that's with CNPS10X with noctua 120mm blowing it.

I'm buying a H80 today to help the situation though.

IIRC both AMD Overdrive and core temp show core temps which seem to register about 10C lower than cpu temp. Maybe it has been changed but if it has that is some very very good temps.

For me though
CPU = AMD Phenom II 1090T @ 3.2Ghz
Case = Silverstone TJ07
Heatsink = Custom Watercooling - EK HF Supreme CPU Block (and gtx 470 in same loop) Black Ice SR-1 480, XSPC RX 240
Fans = 6 Akasa Vipers on rads
Case fans = 3 Akasa vipers

When I measured yesterday evening, pc at idle, rad fans @600rpm.

CPU temp = 30
Room temp = 25
GPU temp = 37
