I noticed in the show us your bike thread people have started arguing about BHP and whatnot.

So i thought it appropriate to start a thread showing dyno run outs.

Here is the run out of my ZX9R (it was in all the paperwork i received when buying the bike a couple of years ago. I've not a clue what it means.

The bike is standard, though at the time had a Carbon Can Company, that i have now scrapped.
 

Aprilia RSV-R 2002. Bigger throttle bodies, open airbox, race can and modded headers. Power is as smooth as butter.

Blue line is power before map (still with mods fitted though) and Red line is after.

06 ZX10, BMC Filter, Akra Cans, Decat (hello midrange dip), Disabled Exhaust Flapper, PC3 USB

Was running without secondary intake flappers, but put them back as wasn't sure if it did anything. Was mapped at Crescent Suzuki by Alan Cook, who now has left and has his own tuners I think

She's a bit tired now so doubt anywhere near this... have to remember that dyno readings are for comparitive before / after testing, and just a tuning tool rather than a precise measurement of power

Just a thought for anyone wanting bang for buck power gain, forget dyno and drop a tooth on front sprocket, instant 20bhp butt dyno gain :). All in all though the ZX10 is a old old bike now, I rode a brand new blade the other day and it felt a lot down on power and left me feeling underwhelmed (except the handling).. most of that feeling was down to sprocket I suspect.

2009 Kawasaki ER-6f with Scorpion can (baffle in).

Bike is also currently on a 33bhp restriction so the dyno run was pretty pointless, as I now know :p

I mainly had it done as I was worried about excess popping from the exhaust :eek:

The air/fuel mixture on that look perfect.

Seems on the ZX9 i'm running very lean at times.
 
Had another Dyno run today, this time with the restriction off and the baffle out.

You can see both the before and after on the graph :)

Guy said it was a little lean at the low end.

Worth paying over £400 for a Power Commander and custom map?
