Every time FFDShow gets mentioned, people ask about settings, so I thought I'd start a thread in order to compile some places to start.
I haven't spent much time tweaking FFDShow, but here are my settings:
DVD as source, 32" 720p TV as display, Media Player Classic as player:
Resize 2x
Blur + NR = Denoise 3D, Chroma 4.0, Luma 3.0, Time 1.0, HQ
Sharpen - Unsharp Mask, 30
If your CPU can't handle these, you could put the Resize last, but putting it first will give the best quality, since the other processing will be done on the resized image.
