Ants will also defend the aphids from other predators (ladybirds etc) so that the aphids survive to continue feeding the ants.

I will not have ant/aphid depraved orgies in my garden.
Unless of course I can set up some sort of onlyfans for them and profit off it.

We had our Summer in May. Gone now so its back to Autumn until Oct

Get some ladybird larvae in, then it'll be a full blown orgy war.

Squash the aphids and especially ants first to give the ladybird larvae the upper hand.

Yes! cabbage, broccoli, beetroot, swede and parsnip in that one. The Gilson variety of cabbage is doing well, Primo not so much as it seems slow growing and had to replace a dead one last week.

Grass is starting to recover a bit after scarifying and then over seeding, but I've missed a few patches..

Just need a few days of rain.
