Post Your Garden!

Incredible. Do you live in the Shire? :D
The next best thing - North Yorkshire :)

We had a few tree branches come down in the recent storms, the one on the right hand side has impaled itself in the ground!!!

Moved in to this house a few years ago and we have not done much with the garden as been focusing on the inside of the house. We had a massive leylandii next to the fence that we did have taken down as it took out all the sun out of the garden but space left has been a mess since then:

Finally had the first part of the garden project completed:

Going to be putting a greenhouse in front of the garage and the beds will be a vegetable garden. Will hopefully get the area finished in autum and a border and fruit trees put in in front of the fence.

Veg garden was completely overgrown with weeds and stuff (see far left, the veg patch, not speakers corner), so made a start on the other 3, but beer stopped play before I could finish the last one.

Why is is when I look along the path between the 2nd from right and right hand bed in the image, the hedge/tree thing in front of the 2nd bed from the left turns into a rabbits head? :o

Or am I just a weirdo? :o

Aldi doing some pretty good deal on bulbs, and this lot should keep the bees happy..

And a couple of cheap grow tunnels and a new trowel (because I've lost the last 16 I had).
According to the packaging, they'll help grow "stranger, healthier plants", so can't wait for that.

Missed this, I might pop in on the off chance they might have some bulbs left

Cut my lawn today, pretty mossy in places and recked in others by the dog. Thinking i might make a raised border to put some bits in so the dog can't trample over anything we plant. I'm maybe 100yards from the sea which i am curious if it'll have any affect on my garden. Never really had a garden to deal with after having fake grass in the last house.

Cut the grass (which is an absolute mess and needs scarifying & re-seeding) & cracked out the glyphosate on the paths..
Excuse Kitler photo bombing the pic

and got some food (onions, mangetout, spuds, beetroot, carrots, parsnips, beans) in the ground.
Courgettes, cucamelon, peppers, toms, cauliflower are in seed trays in the greenhouse.
Also planted 200+ bulbs in the bed on the right to keep the bees happy..

Fancy ourselves a garden sleeper DIY project this summer. Any tips? Have watched a few videos but one aspect that seems to have differing views is how to protect the wood on the inside? Some say bitumen (fine once dried) but others warned against it for anything you plant that might eat. And what about the base? Small stones and webbing to help with drainage and stuff growing through?

It's about 10m on the long side and half that (ish) on the shorter side so guess it's best to to multiples rather than one massive long one. And the current beds aren't that wide, wonder if we need to sacrifice a bit of the lawn on either side to give the sleepers more width.
