We changed from NTL to Sky and its crap. Going for about £5 (I think) but the speed is about 1.5mbs!!!! We were on at 4mb with NTL, but thats what our BT will take. We're thinking of changing so I need to know what your ISPs are.

We use the net a lot, so Bit torrent ports need to be unrestricted. Play games and have good general GB allowence. Can be restricted but will look into.

Post now
Gogogogogogo :D

if your BT line can only reach about 1.5mb, then the only other option is probably NTL if it's available.
Pretty much any other ISP is going to use BT's line to your house (with the possible exception of AOL who might still provide a connection over an NTL/Virgin cable line).

Unless Sky are artificially capping/limiting your speed

BT - 2mb 50gb monthly usage cap at £27 i think. It used to be unlimited..now that you mention it am intrested in better deals that can be found elsewhere cause i frequently want more than 50gb a month and £27 a month is a complete rip-off. Just havent bothered cause its not coming out my account but i should

Ouch - that is a lot of money for not a lot. I feel that £35/mth for 10Mbit unlimited with Virgin/NTL:Telewest is a bargain.

Be internet - up to 24mbit with up to around 1.5mbit upload, I pay £20 but I believe its £24/month now for new subscribers, seems to be unlimited, they have never emailed me regarding my upload/download amounts in the year or so I've been with them, very happy with them :)

BB up to 8mb

60gb peak limit/Unlimited off peak - No traffic shaping

£23 - Namesco

UKFSN HomeMAX 60 £29.99 a month, monthly contract.

60gb peak allowance, 330gb off peak allowance, peak times are 8am till 10pm weekdays, off peak is 10pm till 8am and all weekends, excellent service, or if you want cheaper theres the Home MAX 30 which is 30gb peak, 300gb off peak allowance and only £19.99. :)

Enough said there really and absolutely not worth posting anything else for adsl even using an llu line, if the speed is that low it indicates they are pretty far from the exchange.

Go back to NTL dude :)

We're on 4Mb (but more like 7 or 8?) with Telewest. We were paying £45-50 a month for TV (medium package), telephone & BB.

We knocked the TV on the head & kept freeview, Telewest now give us telephone (with free weekday & weekend calls) & BB for £27 a month.

So if you take the cost of the telephone off, we're getting the BB for about £15 a month?

I don't think i'll ever leave cable tbh.
