Post Your O/C settings for a 6300

my fsb9qdr0Mhz is at [1200] thats with the cpu at 2.1 stck volts ?

QDR of 1200 means your FSB is 300, so you're doing 300*7 = 2100MHz.

Stock voltage (Vcore) of these E6300 is 1.3/1.35v (not sure which as I think it may depend, mines 1.3v) so max I'd say is 1.45v on air to be safe.

Pushing your Vdimm (RAM voltage) up to 2.0v should be fine, more if it says so on the specs.

hows it just shutting down as ive set all the settings to the ones mentioned

first core dou overclock tbh last chip was a pentiumD935

scratch that (where do you change this bit0 lol)

Set CPU voltage (Vcore) to 1.35v

To change the FBS you need to change the QDR.

QDR of 1200, divide by 4, you get 300 FSB.

:( just tried again, pc wouldnt boot got to the first screen thats it. The cpu was on sale with an Allendale core but its conroe core so i wonder if its been a dodgy batch?

The E6300 is an Allendale.

I'd try restoring defaults and then trying again. I found the board very fussy to use so I usually overclock progressively. i.e. Change all voltages in BIOS, save, load in XP, if fine then go back and change something else and try again. Making sure I save the setting each time in the BIOS save slots (incase I need to reset CMOS).

will try that Matt thanks mate, watch this space :)

With 2gb I had 3.33Ghz 475FSB @ 1.325 Vcore around 40C idle.

Now with 4gb I had to step it down to 3.Ghz in order to get it boot/stable.
