Famas, hope you don't mind but i took your image and made this little planet tonight. I've used PS only and it took around 15 mins using your pano above.

There are 5 steps involved.
1) create your panorama
2) select an area in the pano so that the left and right edges are level and of similar colour as this helps mask the join
3) Image/ image size / untick the constrain proportions box and then look at your image dimensions eg: 1000 x 250, you want to make a square so i go for around a third as a rule so 330 in my example, now enter that in the height and width box and enter
4) you now have a square distorted image which you flip or rotate 180
5) now the magic step, go to Filter / distort / polar coordinates and use rectangular to polar, hit enter and you are all done

Just some cloning and perhaps a sharpen and there you go, a little planet

didn't really know what i was doing, but thought i'd give panoramas a crack seeing as i had such a stunning view. i can't believe how well that MS ICE app stiched it together. really wish i'd taken more shots :/
