Hi all
Having read a fair bit about how wireless networks often barely offer 1/3 of their stated speed, I thought I'd try a thread to document what people are really getting from their hardware.
ISP: Virgin Media (cable)
Marketed speed: 60Mb/s down / 3Mb/s up
Max attained wireless speed: 25Mb/s down / 2.2Mb/s up
Band: 2.4GHz
Router: supplied Superhub
Network adapter: TP-LINK TLWN951N / Galaxy Note II
Layout: adapter in room next to router, approx. 9m away
My secondary aim is to see what real-life speeds people are getting with the Asus RT-N56U/66U on Virgin's 60Mb service!
