Thanks to a kindly OcUK forumite i now have the wallpaper that i wanted.

What phone is that Rroff? If you're looking for something fairly lightweight to customise it Pointui is pretty nifty. It has a free version and a good community behind it developing apps and themes.

I used to run it on my Omnia with a full screen weather applet which looked real pretty. (Never been a big fan of Samsung software so covered it up as much as possible).

I'd massively appreciate owning a HD2 but alas i have a TD2 :(

Rroff, i'd love to know about remote desktop. Was the software something that came with the phone or a 3rd party app? Was it difficult to set up?

Sorry to disappoint. The HD2 is looking awesome for hardware spec but i hate the Sense 2.5 look. The extra icons and curtains on the homescreen make it look too busy for me. I was running a 2.5 ROM on my TD2 for a while but went back to the Sense 2.1 that i'm running now. Much prefer the look.

Nice to see Symbian based phones are becoming more customisable. The last Nokia i owned was an E60 with options to change the wallpaper and nothing else :D Still the toughest phone i ever owned though, withstanding huge amounts of abuse.

Nice Wallpaper! I like simplicity.

I had an opportunity to play with a Hero recently and although it is a nice phone i think it'd drive me insane trying to customise so many screens! There are so many options available that i'd obsess over trying to get it perfect.

Edit...just noticed you mentioned iphone. Would love to see what the capabilities of this phone really are as far as customising it. (Especially jailbroken phones as i imagine that allows for more drastic modifications). As a winmo fan i haven't really ever seen an iphone in action

I see a cydia shortcut so presumably this phone is unlocked? There's nothing i hate more than proprietary software so i would definately jailbreak this phone if i owned it. As far as the res, doesn't the iphone run at a relatively moderate resolution compared with the most recent phones? 800x480 is becoming more common now which is perfect for 3"-4" screens.

Recently flashed a new ROM to my Omnia but the horribly low res screen on the phone makes me hate using it after being used to the glory of HD. The mobile tech has come a long way in a short time hasn't it?

There is no way in the world that two years ago i could have foreseen where we are today. Back then the best that i had seen was the Symbian 'smart phone' that i was using at the time. :rolleyes:

Now i have fast internet browsing, turn by turn satnav and apps that take screenshots from my phone just by shaking it!

I wouldn't even want to guess where we'll be in two years from now...but i can't wait to get there! :cool:
