Is it more about the dissemination of information/news from leading figures/celebs rather than adding your friends Facebook-style and reading the constant boring updates?

Also what is Retweeting and why do so many seem to get off on it? Is it like a FB status that's shared by everyone who reads it thus resulting in e-peen enlargement for the original poster?

I have a troll twitter account which is more of a Parody than anything, it has a fair few followers but can't say as well I'm sure some people from here follow me
