lol at Peerzy's ^^

I was looking at these a few days ago when Toyota were back in the news for recalls. I actually feel sorry for Toyota because the general public don't have a clue that their own car has probably been recalled for stuff as shocking if not more so than Toyota's recalls, it's just the media has just decided to jump on Toyota.

The best one for the E46 is...

The well known upper front wishbone issue, don't know if mine has had the work done. Not concerned as I know the state of my upper wishbones is fine last night when I measured the ARB diameter for some new bushes and checked all the joints for play. The Upper wishbones have to be checked by writhing at the top of the wheel after driving the car and before jacking it up.

Only one recall and it doesn't apply to my specific car, but it does apply to some similar variants of it.

Case Number: RJ-0457-2
Period: 1989-10-02 - 1994-03-18
Issued: Wed, 1996-05-08
Affected: 1,048,910

On certain vehicles, the noise canceller (capacitor) installed in the ignition circuit is defective in manufacturing. If left unfixed, chemical liquid may exude, causing the capacitor to get short-circuited and burnout, which in the worst case could result in a fire.

Diagram: http://carinf.mlit.go.jp/jidosha/carinf/ImgManager?No=1104572

Correction: The capacitor should be replaced with a non-defective one.

I guess that capacitor design was later used in ABit motherboards.

Volvo V40:
Tow bar may detach
Front brake callipers may crack
Fuel may leak
Demist/defrost system may fail
Power assistance to steering may fail
Brake vacuum pump may fail.

So, I will be unable to see my caravan detach itself through the iced windscreen and will be unable to slowdown or steer. While on fire.
