If you buy something from someone and they state the postage is £1.99

does that mean that it should cost as near as possible to £1.99 when they send it (because thats what youve paid for?)

OR should the £1.99 figure include THEIR own costs (ie envelopes, sellotape, time to walk to post box etc)

I'm trying to decide on what feedback to give. (really really good or just ok)

btw the postage actually cost .70p 1st class. Recorded delivery chucks it up to £1.40

Lastly: if they are a business rather than an individual - does this strengthen or make any difference to their claim that the £1.99 figure includes other factors (envelopes, selotape, etc)

cheers :D

its normally states P+P which includes packaging. I would certainly assume postage includes packaging anyway

hrmm ok. jiffy bags go for £1.30 then i guess.

ach i'll give him good rating because he did ship it out pretty quick...(ordered mon received wed)

edit:. hrmmm no mention at all on the website about P+P just about delivery rates.. possibly i'm making mountains out of molehills etc

The reason why i asked whether there should be a difference if the seller is a business or just someone selling one item is because of:

a) discount rates for businesses when purchasing stock (inc jiffy bags etc)

So does that mean i should factor the cost of a jiffy bag and selotape at their business (bulk) cost or at the retail cost for 1 jiffy bag etc.
