Has any one bought a ticket & won anything!
Silly sister seen the advert on tv & wants to buy a ticket, with a tenner she found in drawer.

I say a waste of money, am I right or wrong.

Edit: Waste of money as much as the standard lottery is. It's harder to know the odds, though I'd imagine they're be better than the national lottery. But since I play the national lottery now and then, I'm not about to start judging!

However, by signing up to the postcode lottery, you'd probably be signing up to a ton of junk mail too.

No but I know someone who has and won a substantial amount.

Well, they were a friend of family

I am sure it was something like £25-£30k although could have been more.

.....isn't there a OCUK member who is sittin gon about 2.3million from the lottery but is terrified to spend it? I recall the "send me your story and I'll post it in my name" type thread doing the rounds a while ago? I'll try to have a look for it.
 
Of all the lottery schemes in the UK the postcode one seems by far the dumbest way to spend the few quid. The odds are probably higher than the others but it makes me smirk.
We already have a postcode lottery in the NHS and the school system :)
 
Some say the Lottery (and in particular scratch cards) are for poor people. Think about it... I am in a syndicate at work and dread to think how much we could have if we would have put it away although savings interest are so poor these days)
 
Odd lottery, thunderball, and euro ticket here and there. Never done that postcode lottery before even though a postcode in my town won a decent sum once. Never done that health lottery scam either.
 
Partner won £6000 from it 2 years ago. If she had played 2 tickets would have been double that, apparently the more years you are in it the more the winnings go up. Its always the case in it to win it. She bought me a nice big LED TV from her winnings which was nice.
 
Im just saying that its slightly different from the lotto. Whereas the postcode lottery the more tickets you have the more the winnings.
 
Don't do the Postcode Lottery but occasionally have a crack at the EuroMillions when the jackpot is insane. :p
 
Derek, we're off to Benidorm :D

Never done it but have wondered what the odds are of winning.
