If you post on their forum from a virgin IP then they know you address and have been known to sort out engineers to attend (they did for me). If you post from a none virgin IP then they normally PM you to sort things out.

I guess if your registration details tie up with the IP that your making the forum post from then they know enough to send something with confidence.

I work in an ISP, and when we get emails in with the general tone of yours the customer is usually going to be an obstructive **** with a problem with anything I try to do / help with, including being called a 'script monkey' etc.

Seems you're annoyed they've put you on a better network, annoyed they've tried to inconvenience you less by using your IP to locate you, and annoyed you by actually writing your name and address on a parcel. How dare they!

Moving a customer from one congested network to another isn't doing the customer any favours.

I don't contact them with an angry tone unless they sit and **** me about, which they do after several hours of trying to get thing sorted out.

Better network? Internet becomes stupidly slow during peak times and only getting 30% of the advertised speed? Calling them and asking for a speed estimate and them lieing to me, saying it will be 24mbit? Replying back to my forum post a week after I posted, then killed the old modem before a new one arrives without phoning me to say?

Yeah, people wonder why customers complain.

If they can't provide what they advertise, then they shouldn't ********.
