yeah the drop off in interest in SETI has been pretty steep. If we didn't have Bully trying single handedly to keep our production up we'd be dropping like anything through the rankings.

I guess it doesn't help that we don't have a regular weekly summary like Rich does for folding (that was so good even i moved a machine over to the dark side). i know someone offered to do one a while back but nothing came of it.

The news certainly does help with getting/keeping people interested, I can't remember who was talking about maybe doing a similar thing for some of the BOINC projects before.

I think the most damage to SETI was done by all the disatisfaction with how the optimised clients situation was handled, I guess Stanford's policy of keeping F@H closed source is there for a reason

As for the stats thing if someone can tell me the best way of collating/sorting it I may see about having a go at it as I have some spare time. I may have a go at a BBC CP one as well (only because I am biased.
