Soon im am going to need to post an adult size bike within the UK. Does anyone know how much that costs, or how I would go about doing it. Im guessing I cant just wheel it into the post office

see if it's not cheaper to get a return rail ticket, ride it to the station and deliver it yourself. At least the P.O, monkeys will not get a chance to lose or destroy it.

best thing to do is go to a local bike shop and ask them for a spare bike box, theyl have loads.

then just take the pedals off and maybe the handlebars too. and box it up.

i wouldnt trust royail mail with it unboxed

should be around 30 quid

If you do post it, I would not chance it unwrapped. I just got a bike fram of a private sale and it was bubble wrapped and boxed very securely. Getting a spare box off the local bike shop seems like a good idea...

A courier firm would work out cheaper than royal mail. Plus the post office ghets really funny when you take things in that don't fit on the scales properly (like a MTB frame not packaged in a box).

Your gonna wanna get a box from a bike shop.

Take of the front wheel, pedals and handle bars.

Slide the front wheel along the crank, put the handle bars down along the top tube, and turn the stem around.

You should also put some buble wrap around the frame, and if possible get a spare axel to go through the front fork, so that if its dropped, the forks wont get as damagaed.
