Hi guys, just a quick question - i think you people would be able to answer it best.

I need to send a roughly 5kg parcel to someone. I was thinking of using a courier instead of just going to the post office as I think it'd be cheaper and possibly more secure / safe.

Can I just rock up to say, the parcelforce depot and they'll weigh it and size it for me?

What about myhermes and DHL? I see that with myHermes I can make my own label, print it off and drop it off at a newsagents nearby. Has anyone used them?

Any other advice?

Cheers

What is it?

It's a boxed one of these:

I weighed my package at about 5kg. I think it's about right. Amazon says it's 4.1kg

Put the weight at 10kg, you'll find the cost difference between a 5kg and a 10kg parcel minimal.

Don't overdo the box size either.
