I need to post an alloy wheel with a tyre on it, what is the best way to do that? I have posted just wheels before in a box but I don't have a box big enough for this. Will be using a courier but how would I package it? I don't know what is unacceptable.

The ones I bought a few weeks ago came wrapped in cling-film with cardboard circles over each end of the alloy. Think there was a bit of bubble wrap too but not much. if it's with a tyre then the tyre will take any bashing as long as you have some cardboard/padding on the alloy face.

Good idea, I will try that. Thanks. Should be OK.

all done, wasnt really worried about damaging the wheel, more if the courier would accept it, only sent about 2 things via courier before

Only faces of wheel need protecting so i would just use cardboard to cover those and wrap in bin liner or bubble wrap.

courier wise i used parcels2go and they were cheap for large heavy items

Wheel arrived safely

I used city link via parcel2go as they pick up from my door and deliver the next day even on 48hrs, also they don't need a printer!
