Someone on xfire messaged me offering loads of trial games from steam if i give him my user/pass.

Xfire: supremekristoffer

message he left me - [17:48] Steven Mitch: Dear steam user. I am from steam, and working as a pr-manager, and i am currently giving out some day of defeat: source trials. So i was wondering if you were interested, trying this game. Just give me your Steam account name and password, and il upload the game to your account in some few seconds (so that its download able). So you can just double click on the game, and simply download it. STEAM group.

Just a warning, i doubt anyone is stupid enough to give it out though..

Recruitment levels at Valve must've dropped off a bit. That cretin can't even spell the most basic of words correctly.

I had something similar while playing late at night on css, was playing some other dude who claimed he worked for steam and started telling me the same crap how I would get free games etc.

Who is going to fall for this

The annoying thing is you can get your account stolen without falling for one of these things. No idea how but it's happened to me.

Same has happened to me.
Still waiting for steam to sort it.
Good luck. Whoever stole my account used it with a cybercafe account that Valve knew was stolen. There's no way in hell they'll ever reactivate my account or refund my money because as far as they're concerned I did it/it's somehow my fault my account was stolen.

some guy randomly added me while i was playing guild wars one day asking if I remembered playing CSS with him. I didn't but played along with him cos I was bored, so he starts talking about playing me again on CSS with a map he made and had put my name on some crates or something, so I play along and he sends me a file and I scan it with AVG, surprise surprise it's got some kind of trojan in it, so I say to him ok, I've installed the map - what happens now? and he's like no you haven't and i said yes i have and then he disappeared. how did he know I was lying?

I had a random guy the other week

"I noticed that you have played wow for some 3 hours, can I interest you in buying some gold, or leveling services?"
