I use the default Samsung browser on my S10 and since the last couple of weeks whenever I try and post there's at least a 75% chance the cursor will jump all over the place then start randomly adding in carriage returns. Sometimes I stop typing and just wait and it does it without me inputting anything. Anyone else get this? It's pretty frustrating.

Yes I had this today, I use the samsung browser daily and it has never been an issue, seems to only relate to this site, I switched a couple of things and it stopped, site to desktop mode and keyboard to Google then I could post again, I upgraded to android 12/one ui 4.0 on friday so reckon the update has stuffed something on the keyboard but strange that it is only an issue on this forum.

I really like Samsungs browsers compared to others.

I had this and it's because Samsung have introduced Grammarly into their keyboard with the One UI 4.0 update.

Try Gboard as a replacement keyboard or any of the many others available for Android users.

+1 for Brave but as a desktop browser.

I use Firefox as my full-time browser, both on desktop and mobile.

<< Samsung here too, since 2010.

Google Chrome is best on Chromebooks imo, but if you're a Firefox kid like me, you can install Firefox on the Chromebook and the 2 browsers will work together so that Chrome mirrors your Firefox settings + bookmarks.

The last update shafted my A70 causing screen glitches, flashes and random orientation switches if in landscape. It is pot luck if I can type a message on her without a glitch shifting the screen enough me to hit entirely the wrong option and switching view or losing the page altogether.

Thats the odd thing, it's only on here.

As I said, it's Grammarly. It's likely only seen on OcUK because of the IME of XenForo (I think that's the forum software?) not playing well with the Samsung keyboard.

I don't know how, but since resetting my phone the Grammarly setting is off by default. When updating to OneUI 4.0 it was enabled by default and it didn't seem to want to disable for me by either turning off English under "suggest text corrections" or by turning off Grammarly under "select third-party content to use".

I don't have Grammarly enabled. The only 3rd party one i have enabled is giphy.

Just had it happen on another forum, you can see it add the extra spacing when it does the spell checking and autosave, very weird bug, should probably submit to Samsung.

Keyboard does make a difference. I found Gboard to be iffy on Firefox mobile when posting on ocuk forums only, but Swiftkey is perfect. I use SwiftKey exclusively now anyway as predictions are just better.

As above, I found it to be a mix of both keyboards and browsers. Currently using Vivaldi and Gboard, it works most of the time but sometimes if I remove too much or paste too much it messes up the message. Swapping to "BB Code Editor" (button on the top right of the reply box) can also usually help.

I noticed this a while back while using the Samsung keyboard. Really only while trying to post replies here.
I've got back to using the original Swype keyboard from Nuance. Man I forgot how good this keyboard was, it's Swype predictions are light years above the other top keyboards, like Gboard and Swiftkey.

Shame its not supported anymore, but still available on the play store.
