Strange question I know but motoring related. I had a lease car (A Class Mercedes) They collected the car but I forgot to put the parcel shelf back in. I now have to post it to them (or pay £266). I wanted to drop it off but it's over 400 miles away.

Have you any idea how you would package and get one sent please? I can't imagine you could just wrap it in brown paper and take it to the post office.

Yes you could but it'd not get there in 1 piece, my advice would be to wrap it up as best you can with loads of bubble wrap and then in a large plastic bag (otherwise it'll get wet) and then hope it get's there undamaged, if it does get damaged then you'll end up paying the £266 for a new one and lost the cost of posting this one back.

when ive sold them on ebay i just use some cardboard usually from a box cut up and wrap either bubble wrap or clingfilm around them maybe a black bin liner or 2 just to protect. never had a problem

Lots of bubble wrap - then cover with black bin bags or pallet wrap and gaffer tape. Should cost less than £20 to send using Evri next day or DPD 3-5 day.
