Posting this for a friend, having trouble with his sound.

He was on Vista but he's just formatted and installed XP Pro SP3. Everything is working fine at the moment apart from his sound. The correct drivers are installed for his integrated sound, on the MSI P6N-SLI PLATINUM

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The sound is not working at all, no sound is being processed.

From my friend: "Windows says 'no audio device'"

One suggestion I would make is make sure you are using the latest drivers from MSI's website, or try rolling back to SP2.

Also make sure AC'97 is enabled in the bios.
