I've sold an item on eBay to Belarus and I'm hoping someone here might be able to help with address format and translation please? I have the address here but I believe it's all in the wrong order, and in English.

Post offices are pretty good at dealing with addresses. Just make sure the Belarus part is in English so the postal service at this end knows where it's going!

It does sound a bit dodgy doesn't it, unfortunately when you select will post to Europe on eBay it includes all the former Soviet republics.

Saying that I've sent to Russia and the Ukraine a few times now I've not had a problem so far.

In Belarus the adress will be upside down.

For example:

Belarus
Oblast
City
Street
Flat

Mrs Tosno, can help with any translations. All Eastern Slavs agree that Belarusians are the most friendly, loyal and less corrupt, I agree too my best man was a Belarusian and he didn't run off with my gold rings :D

It's more the Belarusian side of things I'm concerned about, it's likely to take many weeks as it is without making it more difficult for them writing the address backwards and in English! I don't need Cyrillic but the address I have still isn't right with y's instead of j's etc.

Can you not contact the buyer and ask them for the correct address in the right order? Kind of surprised it didn't just show up in the buyers details?

Y is correct but J is fine. I've sent many letters and parcels to Russia in Latin and they got there.

Here's the address I've got,

Naberezhnaya street
building x, apartment x
Myadel, MINSK REGION
222397
Belarus

For example I believe Myadel should be Mzyadzel and obviously 'building' and 'apartment' can't be right?

That address with building/apartment format looks fine to me? How many Myadels are there in the Minsk region that a typo would get the parcel lost?
