Royal Mail could deliver on three days, regulator says

A report from the regulator has laid out options to save the UK's postal service money.

Does anybody else only get letter mail (not tracked parcels) just the once a week now anyway?

If they change to 3 day delivery then they will have to change the notion of 1st Class aiming to be 1 day and 2nd class 2-3 day.

We still get them on any of the days they deliver on. Are you out in the Styx?

No I am in a fairly big town. We get nothing for a week then 10-12 letters in one go back dated.

Great when you are waiting on hospital letters.

I see the postie outside every day (except Sunday). If there were letters for us every day, he'd delivery them.

He cant delivery what the sorting team have not sorted for him to delivery though. They concentrate on tracked.

I get letters everyday, if there are letters to be delivered.

How can people know they are missing out on post, unless you are expecting a letter/parcel everyday?

You can see on the letters the stamp date and compare the delivery date - along with the date within the letter for things like hospital appointments so you can see that they have been building a batch of letters to send on a single day. Simple really.

Post bod = £16,000 to £25,000 with London showing £21,000 to £28,000.

And you will find there are too many managers sat around twiddling their thumbs or even worse trying to justify their position by making stupid decisions.
