I have an early 2013 retina MBP bought at the start of May last year so it is still under 12 months old, which I bought from local Apple store
15 inch, 2.4 i7, 8gb ram.
It's been perfect so far, no issues or glitches at all, but this morning I noticed something odd with the screen and it's something I have never seen before.
About 2 inches in from the left hand edge of the screen and running top to bottom of the screen I can see a funny flickering motion, it's slight and you can only really see it when text is over that section of the screen. It is only about an inch wide, either side of the this band the rest of the screen is perfect.
I went to the gym this morning and the Mac open and on in direct sunlight (it was there when I left), it wasn't there when I left, but 2 hours later......
I've since moved the Mac into a north facing room (no direct sunlight) and it appears to have gone.
Is this a fault or simply a heat related issue? Our front room faces due south and it's very sunny this morning and warm. MBP was much warmer than normal when I spotted it. But now it's cooled down it seems ok.
