Hi guys
I am having a problem with my current PC which I have recently upgraded.
I replaced my old HD4870 with a newer HIS HD5950 and an OCZ 120gb Vertex 2 SSD drive.
I have been getting random crashed almost every time I do anything graphically demanding. Computer then runs fine following the termination of the task. (usually when in CSS)
I then get an on screen error telling me that the AMD driver has stopped working and recovered successfully.
This is an intermittent problem as sometimes it will work fine.
Other symptoms are sometimes square blocks (pixels) appearing on screen.
Also prior to any system crash is the GFX card fan slowing down as if the card has shut down and then restarted again.
I have tried reinstalling windows 7 several times and reinstalling all drivers as required.
I have Google'd the issue with no success of resolving the problem.
Current specification of the computer is:
Intel Quad Q9550
Asus P5Q-E Motherboard
Kingston 4gb 1066mhz RAM
HIS HD5950 2gb
OCZ Vertex 120gb SSD drive
Corsair 620w PSU
I have not got any overclock running on the system at the moment all is standard.
I would really appreciate the help.
Do OcUK offer a service where I can take the machine to them directly to run tests to pinpoint the issue? All parts I have were originally bought from OcUK.
Thanks
Matt
