In the not-too-distant future, i'm gonna be looking at a new PC. I was wondering what you lot would think would work well, without straying too far from the price i'm currently at...
Abit KN8 Ultra nForce4 Ultra (Socket 939) PCI-E Mobo ~£60 ex VAT
Leadtek GeForce 7900 GT 256MB ~£200 ex VAT
Athlon64 X2 3800+ ~£170 ex VAT
My current spec is in my sig...is it a decent enough performance increase to warrant forking out the £540 (inc VAT) I would spend on this stuff? Was considering the 3800+ Venice instead, and also open to X1800 graphics cards...can get XT's for not much these days. Also open to the idea of the 7800 series, I cant say I know how much of a difference we're talking between the two. What do lot you think?
