Installed my fan controller tonight.

And just happened to look at the CPU intel cooler.

Is it possible for those black legs to work them self loose?

Two of the black legs have play in them.

I turned them alittle bit and didn't seem toanything.

The cooler is rock solid. But the legs or at leas two of them are a bit wobbly.

What should I do?

:( thanks.

if the cooler is rock solid, i wouldn't worry about slightly wobbly legs, once the stock cooler is attached, it can't work itself loose, not without intervention lol :p

i take it if i turned them too much they would pop up? i only turned them like 2mm, hardly anything!

If you push the legs down and hear a click then it should be fine. You can grab the cooler and shake it a bit from side to side, if it doesn't budge then your good to go.

It doesnt budge, but I just touched one of the legs and it popped up, so put it back down again.

Temps are fine 38ish.

Ordering a new cpu cooler now anyway. NOT happy with these stock coolers :(

Seem to be a bit hit and miss really.

Never installed an aftermarket cooler so ******** bricks!

Them stock coolers have got to be the worst invention ever.

I've never put a Intel stock cooler on without breaking at least one of the legs.

The one that came with the chip I've got now was hanging off and when at stock clocks it went into the 70's lol

if its the two opposite legs you should be ok. I would just get a new cooler.
