I just got my new pc today and my Phenom x6 1090t is giving me strange readings on CPU ID/Hardware Monitor. on CPU ID its showing that my core voltage is jumping up to 1.552 volts. I read somewhere that the max the CPU volts go up is to 1.4V. Is this normal or not? I haven't messed with any ocing or bios, everything is at stock, all I did was put the cpu in and boot up the computer.

On Hardware Monitor its showing that my cpu runs at 141 watts when all cores are maxed out. Again this CPU should max out at 125 watts right?

I don't know if it is a software problem or is something wrong with my CPU/Mobo?

Thx for any help ;)

What motherboard are you using and have you updated the BIOS - also check to see what this shows the vcore as.

Download CPU-z and compare.

I am using Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H and Bios version F7 which is almost the newest version available.

In my bios the CPU voltage shows as 1.552 and I can't seem to change to to 1.4 since that how it should be. Is it risky leaving the voltage at 1.552 for long term?

Any idea how to fix this?
