Hi,
I've got a bit of an issue with my PC powering on. Let me describe the series of events:
1) PC turned on fine yesterday morning
2) I left, left the PC for 3hrs or so on sleep. Come back - PC won't turn on.
3) I try to fix it there and then. Unplugging, checking power switch is connected etc. etc. nothing. I give up.
4) I come back ~4hrs later and PC turns on fine, no issues.
5) I go to bed, turn off PC, wake up in the morning, PC turns on fine.
6) I go out for 3hrs with PC left on sleep, come back and it won't turn on.
7) I unplug PC kettle lead at back, leave it for roughly 1hr, come back and PC turns on..
I've never had issues with the PC going to sleep before (had this PC for >2yrs).
I'm concerned it's a PSU issue, but then I don't want to spend a load on a new PSU if it's actually just a faulty button on the case. Has anybody seen this before or know if there's any way I can do some more checks? I've heard that PCs not turning on could potentially be a dodgy CMOS battery??
Cheers.
