OK, at long last, my poor old XP2500, @ AIW 9800 is going to the big PC heaven in the skys.

So far i have narrowed down my new system to:

E2180 Intel CPU
Radeon X1950 Pro - from this very stores "This Week Only Section"
2Gb of DDR2 6400 Ram
and a Gigabyte GA_P35C_DS3R motherboard for it all to sit in.

This is all a measley 258 sheqel's.

Is there anything better around for the same money, no more, but less is always good. It will get overclocked, but only within the limits of Air, and my very nice old Coolermaster 201.

Cheers For Your Help.

Dusty

To be honest, i would have gone for exactly the same thing as you :)

Picking that motherboard also leaves room for expansion in the future if you wish.

I would just make sure you have a decent PSU that will be able to power the newer graphics cards in the future if you felt like upgrading.

Looks pretty good. If you are overclocking, try and shell out a bit more for a tuniq tower aftermarket cpu cooler. Only £30-40 I think and should allow you to overclock that beauty to around double the speed it comes at straight out the box.

Just this minute ordered exactly that spec following people's advise on this site :) Decided not to go for a new PSU & try the one I have. If I get problems I'll just order a decent make, 550W/600W supply to replace it.
