I've had my ASUS GTX 670 DirectCU II TOP Edition for just over 2 years now and have started to run into some overheating problems as of a few days ago, the warranty still covers it but I've had a few major problems with ASUS over the past year or so and want to move over to another brand as these just aren't reliable at all.

I ran Heaven Benchmark & played ArcheAge + Battlefield for a bit just to see what temperatures I got and It resulted in this:

If I was to upgrade from a GTX 670 what would be a worthwhile jump? I'm a heavy gamer, so will want to run the likes of Far Cry 4, The Division etc when they launch so I need to future proof.

@arc@css, I've only run SLI once back on the old 7800GTX cards absolute years ago, would 2x 770 not be more viable price and performance wise? I'm not sure If there's still a drop in the second card so I'm curious.

@Yarwood, I game and use my PC for hours every single day so unfortunately that's out of the question

If you want a new card thats cool but those temps are fine. Its summer and fan speed is only at 40%. Set up a custom fan profile for the time being

I've hit temps of 95-97c which has caused me to crash numerous times now, also on a card that's got a certain heatsink to cool it, It shouldn't be hitting the high 80's. I've never surpassed 73c until this week and It's been far hotter than it is now. Also, when the fans run at 90%+ I still have the same issue.

I see,didnt have that information when I posted :)

Its a shame you are not on the members market as I have a 780 MSI GE for £280 that less than 2 months old. I swear by that make and model having owned a few now

Edit- apologies if I have broken any rules mentioning that out side the MM section....please dont hurt me Greg :(
