I have decided to wait for Bulldozer before upgrading my s775 rig. However I would very much like a SSD that I can use now and carry forward into the new build.

my motherboard is a BFG680i SLi which supports SATA II. Nothing has jumped out at me on google, could you advise me on whether I can buy the crucial M4 and use it on my current motherboard?

Also I only have 2Gb's (2x1Gb) of PC6400 (800Mhz) RAM. If I buy 2 more 1Gb sticks, how similar do they need to be to the old pair?

Thanks.

Bulldozer will be ddr3 so you won't be able to use that memory if that is what you mean.

No, that's ok. I know that I can't carry over the DDR2 RAM into the next build, but 2gig is pretty painful in modern games so for the sake of £20-30 I would like to get a little more RAM in this machine to help tide me over until Bulldozer is out.

However a SSD is £80-100 so I would like to be able to carry that to the new build :)
