You're correct the pin outs can be different :)
I just happen to have axi and hxi and know those are the same so if ax is same
As axi will be ok
Though obviously the op should make double sure
 
Buy a PSU tester, they cost a few pounds and its one of those things that you just keep in your cupboard and then one day turns out its vital and can save you money/time/stress.
 
Yeah may do. Are cablemod cables any good? Corsair do an upgraded set in red which are nice, but cablemod look good too.
 
So new PSU is and working. I just need to cable manage a bit better.

I do need some SATA cable recommendations though.
 
Yeah cable mods was one of the first with the sleeved cables I. Think
They are meant to be good
Sata data cables I just use any that are the colour I want
If you want extra thin ones or something
Silverstone would be worth a look
