Potholes!

Just drove down the A43 (M40 J10 -> Brackley and so on) and it's riddled with potholes; now I know we had a cold winter - but I would have though they would have fixed up most of these by now?
All they seem to have done here is place signs on the side of the road warning you of "bumps"; made me laugh when I saw that so I proceeded to look out for "bumps" - only to drive straight into a field of potholes (it's as if they are breeding there).

This is one of the major approach roads to Silverstone for the GP; why is it in such a poor state - the race is only like a month away!

Well it's either fix potholes or get some MPs moat cleaned out. We know what's more important...

The councils have no money left to fix them, so i'm going to buy a halftrack and help the situation along.

Councils are too busy putting people like my next door neighbours in accommodation and buying a family car for them to use as a taxi and earn cash tax free.

Report them for benefit fraud, their probally on some form of benefits.

They filled a major one I've moaned about for ages and 2 weeks later it a big hole again and I nearly binned it when braking on a 60mph road whe nthe cars in front did the same. Lifted the back end and nearly had me on the wrong side of the road.

The roads are a state in a lot of places and they seem to be trying to fix them. Most of the fixes are now convex bumps in the road and don't seem to levelling anytime soon.

Every form of benefit probably. It's hard to prove but I've seen him driving around with random people in the back and often vacuuming out dirt and probably sick out of his car after every weekend. He isn't a clean freak, the outside of the car is filthy and he's too lazy to cut his own grass.

I might have to report them.

Most of the fixes around here are quite poor. They should really just resurface a section covering lots of smaller potholes rather than doing hundred of small patches.

I guess that would involve a little more money and brain power, however.

When I drove down to the RR at the beginning of the month I found the M42 quite bad in particular for potholes, there were lots of 20m strips of 'new' tarmac of previous repairs but still a minefield of potholes left otherwise.

Blame us truckers - the 43 is an ideal M1 - M40 link road, used heavily by the heavies and the road surface it appears,is made from cheese.

Council has given up round here with fixing them, just put up signs now saying, Potholes, Drive Carefully.

Gonna buy the biggest 4x4 I can get for driving about town.
