lets say "pound for pound" which card offers the best performance at the cheapest price. Thinking around 6600 cards?

Its obvious buying a high end gfx card is like buying a brand new car. Within a month the value is in the toilet.

If you are looking at the 6600 series or there abouts, then i would recommend a HIS Excalibur ATI Radeon X800 GTO ICEQII TURBO 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (RX800GTO-256ICEQT) (GX-044-HT)

or

PowerColor ATI Radeon X850 XT 256MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-037-PC)

toms hardware should do a list how many frames per second you get for your pound.....for real cheapskates like me.

FPS per pound would be great.

I think one of the review sites a few months ago did a '3dmark points per pound', which was very interesting, but I can't remember which site that was I'm afraid...

Leadtek 7600GT £140.

Bargain.

I would agree with that although I Still think the X850XT would be better with AA and AF enabled.

Although I havn't seen a review comparing both cards side by side.

But the best for buck I think at the moment had to be the 6800GS for agp.
