Poundland is no more.

How much time is wasted by the staff to say to customers that a 50 wash Surf isn't a quid?
Some of the newer PLs have called their shops Poundland Plus?

There's a PL in the retail area where my work is. The battery bins are full of the cheap batteries you get from PL £1 for 12. Don't people realise that these batteries are false economy?? Change a channel over on your remote twice and bang goes 2 batteries.

I had no idea they had a web presence tbh. Used them a few times for crap like small plant pots and LED strings to hack into other things. Reality is most of their stuff was *****, available at the same price or less in regular supermarkets or online
