POV GeForce GTX 570

asus or Zotac £20 and evga £30 May be best to go asus or zotac then, I just wondered as I think POV is an older company?

I think its just a no frills generic card, so should be the same as every other card apart from the warranty and included extras.

Not sure its a good idea to buy any GTX570 right now though as they look set for a big price drop.

All 570's are currently exactly the same. They are all reference parts made on the same assembley line to the same specifications. All POV, ASUS, EVGA etc do is add a sticker and put it in a colourful box.

Just buy the cheapest and be happy you save some money.

GTX570 will only take a price drop if ATI/AMD's new 6950 is released at a lower prices next Monday. At the moment, pricing looks to be very similar between the two but the latest runours are that the GTX570 will be the slightly faster card. I doubt prices will drop. Demand for 570/580's may actually go up if the 6900 cards belly flop.

The 570 is a great card. If I didn't buy my 580 two weeks ago I would have got one of these and saved £120.

I ordered an eVGA GTX 570 and TBH I have no regrets. My card is in the post but It's a great card at a good price point plus when it's overclocked it can be as quick as a GTX 580. No single, non-crossfire AMD card will beat the GTX 570 Overclocked. Unless the HD 6970 can overclock super high. But with Nvidia you get 3D Vision, Physx, Cuda and I got the 10 year eVGA warranty. I say get eVGA and be happy.

Why you say so?

Over last the three days I have seen,

GTX480 £235 - £260 Faster
GTX470 £170 Nearly as fast OC
HD5850 £150 Nearly as fast OC
HD5870 £170 Nearly as fast OC
GTX570 £265
HD6870 £165

And ATI are about to hard launch a card between £200 and £250 that will more than likely beat the GTX570 by some way.
