Just haveing a flick through the cooling configurator to see if there are waterblocks available and the part number they list is TGT-680-A1-2-UC which is the same as your product page except ek reckons its a 4gb card ..... am now officially confused

The cooler on the 680 is the same as the one used on the inno3d ichill herculez 3000 cards just with a less impressive shroud, I have the 660ti and it keeps temps sub 50 on full load with fan never going over 30 percent. Definitely a level above the likes of the windforce.

The power of marketing; MSI talk up their products and people buy them. Bit like OCZ and their SSDs... I made that mistake too.

Marketing costs money though so I'm surprised Gibbo can buy them in cheaper than POV, probably getting volume discounts as they sell more.

There are no full cover waterblocks available for that card unfortunately. If there were I would definitely have bought one. Darn you watercooled PC limiting my perchasing options

No offense intended. I've worked with NHS Trusts so I understand how they work.

There are good and bad hospitals etc as with anything else; my point was that generally you would expect to get better service if you pay extra for it.
