Poverty Spec Audi A3

LOL. I paid less than that brand new for another VAG Group car using a plenty of the same bits, more power and a better spec.

Badge snobs... ;)

yeah, but judging by your sig, you bought a Skoda..... <patronising 'wtf did you do that for' smilly>

If you werent ashamed of it you would have just said 'I bought a Skoda'

You want a pathetic spec, check out my Focus Zetec :p

Doesn't even come with aircon as standard, has wind up rears, no toys at all.

and that's not even base model as such, I feel sorry for the poor sods with the Focus CL.

Mind you I'd rather have a Zetec over the Ghia purely for the bolster seats and 'Sport' springs.

And an interior with the asthetic properties of a biscuit tin and the all the material quality of a luxury packet of after dinner mints.

Ah Mr MagiBoy Sir, would you care for some FAIL to accompany your PWNT?

That is some truely pathetic spec, christ my car is 17 years old and even ive got toys. Leccy windows, leccy mirrors (heated too :D), leccy sunroof, trip computer, leather, stereo controls on steering column, RCL. Whats even better it actually all works!

I cannot understand people who buy base spec 'prestige' marques, you get **** all for your money, 316/318,A3's,1er's,c class's, poor engines on the whole and the interiors are generally shocking.

The marketing depts of these companies must be laughing their balls off:p

To me its either buy a Bimmer/Merc/Audi with a decent engine and trim level or dont bother at all.

Mind you i was driving a MK5 Golf GT TDI (sport 170bhp) and I must say i was dissapointed with the quality and trim level of that. Considering its a near 21k motor, the dash materials were not any better than a 5k cheaper Focus/Astra/Leon etc etc.Even the engine was nowhere near as refined as other diesels (Honda,BMW etc).

And the Audi isn't a 10k hatchback - it was more like 16k when new.

Yeah, but you bought a Fabia, that is not comparable to an A3.

You need to buy an Octavia to claim the skoda value high ground.

For any car to come without AC nowadays is quite shocking really, I don't know why people feel compelled to get the base spec audi for the same money as a well kitted out "lesser" car like a mondeo. Crazy people.

As for the Skokda comments, made me chuckle though I find after eight mints rather luxuriously wrapped.

Yeah, how do you know him?

I grew up with his girlfriend (best mates from primary, secondary school), Lucy on their facebooks.

It all sounded stangely familar. I'm sure me and Greg discussed this a while ago, he was waiting around for one for ages.

I bought a Skoda. Cope with it! :D

Had I got an Octavia I'd be batting off the minicab remarks. I'm surprised Fox hasn't called the Fabia a little city car yet ;)

Interior is a little dull if you ignore the silver seats, but it's well built. All the switches/stalks etc are straight out of the same parts bin as my previous VW Bora. I'm perfectly happy with it - I'd take it over any A3 this side of a quattro.
