Im considering the idea of getting my case interior powdercoated, (Lian Li A70F full tower), bit bored with the bare aluminium interior. What sort of price range would i be looking at to get this done, and how long would it take.

Sounds reasonable, however im thinking of a couple of separate colours for the inside, which may bump the cost, and if i would need to ship the case.

I'll think you'll have to pay more than that. More like £50-£70 from what I can see online. There are some UK retailers that do it, but I can't mention them here.

Would the case have to be dismantled prior to shipping? Or can the coating be done with the case complete. Im a painter + decorator, but my knowledge of powdercoating is very limited tbh.

I think places that charge around that much will dismantle and re-assemble for you. You must pay shipping both ways though.

Ill have a google and see about costs etc, ive got another case sitting spare, (akasa eclipse 62) so system down time wont be an issue. Thanks guys.

I've heard that trying your yellow pages is a helpful bet, as with local companies there's unlikely to be p+p charges. I was gonna get my case powder coated, but ran into money problems.

Been quoted £80 to do all of my Mac G5 case that I'm working on at the moment black. It's quite a bit of aluminium and lots of fussy little bits. This doesn't included strip down/rebuild etc

Might want to look at some carbon fibre sticky sheets (check out w3bbo's Project: Fallen Angel project in the project logs section).

Yep, ive seen w3bbo's dark angel project thread. Looks fantastic, i thought about trying the carbon fibre on the motherboard tray, though my 3.25 drive bays would be extremely hard to do with vinyl due to the gapped design.

£60-70 for the internals m8. I agree the HD trays would be a nightmare to do in vinyl.

You can ship the case stripped down or not. IF it's already done then I guess it would be slightly cheaper. The coater I use would rebuild the case for you and re-tap all of the screw holes as part of the service.

£60-70.00 sounds pretty good. Would it be feasible to just ship the bare framework, as on my case every panel can be removed very easily, the front fascia simply pulls away from the chassis.

Id only be getting the framework and internals done as i quite like the all black panels.
