I very infrequently travel in to London but today was that exception. On the late journey home from Paddington to Swindon I was sat there listening to music and thought I had arrived at my station. Cue the hilarity when I got off the train tired after 14 hours on my feet, walked down the steps and realised this wasn't my station! So I legged it back up to the platform to get back on the train I had just got off.

I was just behind two other lads that were hotfooting it to get on the train too. The guard or ticket master or whatever their title is standing by the nearest door holding it open shouting "you can make it lads!". However just as we got about 3 metres from the door he hopped on the train and slammed the door shut and mocked us from the open window, "aww shame, so close". In the duration of the conversation about not letting us on the train he could well have done the decent thing but he chose to be the spiteful bell shaped phallus he was. The train left without me but didn't delay me too long.

Some people just can't help capitalising on the little power they get in life. Any other similar examples of this where people have abused their position in power to get their kicks?

What a tool. Why would you do something like that?

**Edit** - him I mean, not you. Although I guess you're a minor tool for getting off at the wrong station :p

I know right! Never knew how much Didcot looked like Swindon station, in the dark, when tired and wanting to get home!

Doubt I'll report it as some have suggested, the hassle just isn't worth it.
