Power Adaptor doesn't work in USA

Hi guys,

Got a 2009 Macbook Pro and I'm using a USA adaptor but it doesn't charge. Am I safe to assume I need to get a 110v charger? I'm sure I've read that the MegaSafe charger is fine with 110v.

Shouldn't be the case. I use my UK charge in the UK and US constantly, all I do is swap the power lead for the appropriate one.

What voltage ratings arte on the adfapter?

All Magsafe adaptors I've ever seen have been universal voltage. Just take off the UK plug/cable and plugin the appropriate one and bob's your uncle.
