Hello

I have made a power automate flow in power bi that writes data from bi into an excel sheet, this is triggered by clicking a button in bi. I want to know if it is possible to trigger this on a daily basis automatically. I have tried to set up a flow on the web version of power automate but nothing happens at the scheduled time. Having googled this i am none the wiser of the possibility of this.

So.. is it possible?

As there is a PowerBI connector, and an Excel connector, I can see no reason you couldn't write a scheduled cloud flow talking to both of them.

You need to test this before publishing it. I suggest a manual trigger as a first blush

The power bi flows only seem to trigger on button press though.

You would need to go to power automate, create a flow that triggers on a schedule, and then query the PowerBI data source for the data to transfer, which would then write to the Excel destination

Thanks for the heads up. Tried it but unfortunately the dynamic data from power bi isn't pulling through, argh!
