Power BI + Excel - Waterfall Charts

Hi Everyone.
Does anyone use PowerBI? Specifically Waterfall charts? I need some assistance with how it interprets data.

From my own experiments, it seems that waterfall charts will only display combined data and I was wondering if I might have set it wrong, id like to show something granular. I'm trying to show the trend each month of works gained and works completed.


For example, if I have 10 things in October but I gain 5 and complete 6 in November, id like PowerBI to show this. Excel's can display this ok but PowerBI seems to only show the total figure (9 things). Im curious if there is a way of getting it to work like Excel.

The official MS PowerBI forum is having trouble registering new accounts so this is my next stop (and Reddit).
